The North Pacific District is one of the most beautiful places in all the earth and it's important we take time to step outside our offices and conference rooms to enjoy it. As leaders, we realize that sitting in one more meeting or getting crammed into another church classroom isn't your idea of rejuvenation and stimulation.

Now, imagine a day of hiking in the woods, or rafting a raging river, or playing a round of golf in a pristine setting, followed by laughter and learning around a fire or an amazing meal. Welcome to RECREATE. These are relaxed, outdoor or adventure based experiences in which training occurs informally and relationally. These are two or three day opportunities to unplug, get refreshed, and let the agenda follow the conversation.

Senior Pastor & Spouse Retreat

February 11-13, 2019 at Sunriver Resort

Who's Is Invited

Senior pastors and their spouses from the North Pacific District are invited to this event. We are looking forward to a great time of fellowship, fun, and relaxation.

What to Expect

We have designed these days with the purpose of deeper connection and relaxation for you as a couple.  We want you to take time away from your normal routine to enjoy each other.  We have scheduled short times to connect with one another as a district as well.

In addition, we have built in plenty of free time for you as a couple to explore the area or simply relax.  Play a round at the golf course, hike miles of trails, kayak, explore the nearby city of Bend, or indulge your senses at the pristine Sunriver Resort Spa.

Gabe Barreiro, Supervisor

Gabe committed his life to Jesus his sophomore year in high school, and also accepted the call to ministry soon after. In 1995, Gabe and his wife, Nicole, were sent to Oak Harbor, Washington where they served as youth pastors at Living Word Fellowship for 5 years. In June of 2000, they were sent back to Springfield, Oregon to continue youth ministry at Springfield Faith Center and to begin the development of planting a church.  They planted Westside Faith Center in 2003, which grew to 400 people before Gabe was asked to serve in the Northwest District as the Missional Pastor for the District. He served there for 7 years before receiving the assignment to Supervise the North Pacific District.  Gabe has a Masters of Arts in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Garris & Jan Elkins

Garris Elkins has been called by God to raise up a prophetic generation who will speak to the cultures of our world with the empowered voice of Heaven.  Garris’ ministry seeks to align people with their God-defined destiny through teaching, writing and prophetic ministry.

Garris and his wife, Jan, live in beautiful Southern Oregon. They enjoy walking in the hills that surround their home and lingering over a cup of good espresso.

Ken & Linda Johnson

Ken and Linda have been married for 48 years. They have three children and eight above average grandchildren.

Ken was formerly the lead pastor at Juniper Chapel in Redmond, Oregon for seven years. He also pastored Westside (Bend Foursquare) Church for 27 years. Both churches experienced dynamic spiritual and numerical growth.  In 2013, Ken handed the Lead Pastor baton to Steve Mickel.  He continues to speak, mentor leaders and write. He has published two books: Life2 - Limitless Living and When It All Comes Down It All Comes Down to This – Live in God’s Love.

Linda recently retired from 43 years as an RN, caring for people spirit, soul and body. She believes that God has an assignment for everyone and is passionate about coaching women to rediscover their hopes and dreams and move closer to their purpose and calling. She draws from 34 years as the wife of a pastor and her own wins and losses.

Frank and ann Nuño

Frank and Ann Nuño met in 1991 when he was the senior pastor of Dayspring Church and she was an intern waiting to go to the mission field. God had different plans and they are now enjoying their 27th year of ministry together. In 2013 Frank was asked to pastor La Iglesia En El Camino in Van Nuys, Ca. and Ann serves as an Executive Pastor. They continue to oversee the Dayspring Church network, which has grown to become a multi-site church with 4 campuses and services in both Spanish and English. They are blessed to be parents of two teenagers, Katelynn & Matthew.  They all enjoy traveling together, watching action movies and eating BBQ ribs.
